Kativasti is a treatment particularly for those with back pain, osteoporosis, lumbar spondylitis and spinal disorders. In this treatment warm medicated oil is retained within a herbal paste boundary at the lower back. The treatment begins with a massage of the lower back. Then a well is created with dough to contain the warm medicated oil in that particular region of the lower back.
