How often should i receive an ayurvedic treatment?
According to Swissinfo.ch (2018), workplace stress is on the rise in Switzerland, particularly among younger workers who often show up not feeling well. Stress is costly to the economy. Ayurveda, an ancient holistic system, developed more than 3000 years ago focuses on the prevention and treatment of diseases and illnesses. Stress in ayurveda is related to the balance of the Vata, Pitta and Kapha dosha. Ayurvedic treatments can help to cure stress by bringing the doshas into balance. Ayurveda primarily uses herbal medicines and natural techniques to prevent and cure diseases.
When an individual is facing high amounts of mental stress or anxiety it is highly recommended to receive an ayurvedic treatment weekly. Otherwise, at least once a month or twice a month is beneficial for healthy persons to maintain balance in the doshas and to prevent the formation of illnesses. Some treatments are recommended to be done in a series such as Shirodhara for few days in a row or once a week for few weeks in a row.
A consultation with Dr. Sangeeta Renard will first take place with a pulse assessment to decide what treatments are required according to an individual’s constitution.
